Hello from the Chef de Gare and Madame President,

Well our BIG event Southland Dixie is here (7-10 April). We are prepared and looking forward to seeing everyone . It has been a lot of hard work but as usual our Voyageurs and Dames have worked together to make this event a reality. For all those who have helped in this endeavor I THANK YOU. More to come in next months newsletter. Madame President Carol says to all Dames, "Be ready to help out during this time".

With Southland Dixie ending, we just shift gears and get ready for our 27th Annual Gator Wreck to be held 13-15 May 2011. Chairman Bobby Horne has already got the ball rolling but needs help in some areas. As in the past it takes teamwork to get things done. Our next meeting for Gator Wreck will be on 11 April at 7:00pm at the post. Come out and get involved.

On the 13th of April we will be making our monthly visit to the VA hospital to visit with our veterans. I encourage those who have not gone with us before, to come out for a heartwarming experience. I also invite anyone else from the other organizations within the Legion family to join us. We will depart from the Post at 6:15 pm and we normally return around 9:00pm.

On the lighter side, I want to THANK all who participated in the Golf tournament on the 12th of March. We really had a good time. Congratulations go out to our own Bob Wilson for winning the closest to the pin contest. See MIRACLES do happen. Way to go Bob. Also want to THANK Dell Simpson, Julie Yeager, Nancy Schoonover, Judy Zukowski for helping with the Tournament. Also THANKS goes to Post 166 for getting the refreshments and to Jerry Anderson, Ralph Lange and Bill Small for cooking after the tournament. Great job by all. Without your support the tournament would not have happened. Again I THANK YOU.

As always our Promenade and Rendezvous will be held on the 4th Tuesday of the month. The date is the 26th at 7:30 pm. This is an important promenade for we will be having first round nominations of Officers for next year. This is YOUR Voiture. YOU have a voice and YOU can make a difference. Please mark your calendar with a big BLACK marker and attend your Promenade.

Madame President Carol reminds all Dames that they will be having first round nominations of Officers for the coming year. You need to be there if you are interested in an Officer position. Being a La Femme Officer is not hard to do. So think about it and STEP UP.

Thanks to all the Voyageurs who have renewed their membership. We still have some who have not. Membership is an ongoing project. If you haven't RENEWED please do so. Time is running out.
