Hello from the Chef De Gare,

For the 4th of July, we took our train to Moncks Corner for the parade and dedication of the Veterans Memorial. The parade Was a lot of fun and the Veterans Memorial was awesome. If you have not seen this Memorial you are missing out. Remember you can still buy a brick and have it at the Memorial. Another event that took place in July was the 81st Grande Promenade Du SC held at post 147 James Island. Those of us who attended had a really good time. Congratulations to Monseur Robert “Bobby” Gibbons, Jr. On being elected 2009-2010 Grande Chef De Gare Du SC. Also congratulations to our fellow voyageurs on being elected to Grande position: Bill Ahner - Grande Chef De Train, Coastal, Cheryl Christopher-Child Welfare and Drapaeu, Brian Cecil-POW/MIA and Sous Commissaire intendant, Bill Muzzey- Commis Voyageur, Don Carr - Ritual, Bill Small - Advocat, Frenchy- Organizer and Sous Correspondant, Jerry Anderson, Jr.- Correspondant, Howard Walter - Historian, David Schoonover - Cheminot, and yours truly- Cheminot.

Don’t forget about Promenade on 25th August. Come out and enjoy the friendship and fun. Its time to renew your dues. New membership cards are ready. Upcoming events — 40/8 Picnic at Short Stay — 11th And 12th of September. Mark your calendar.

For the good of the voiture
