WOW…. Can you believe this year is almost gone. Christmas is just around the corner. Let me say MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR to all.

I want to thank Post Commander Ron DeMello for all the support that the Post has given in support of the 40/8. Looking forward to 2010.

December will be a busy month. On the 6th , we have been invited to bring our TRAIN and participate in the Christmas parade in Roanoke Rapids, NC. We will depart from the Post at 8:00am on Saturday, 5 Dec. and will return on the 7th Monday.

There will be a Gator Wreck meeting on the 13th at 1300 hrs at the Post. On the 14th and 28th , at 1900 hrs, there will be a Ritual meeting at the Post to discuss Joint Carolina Promenade (Jan. 21-23, 2010) in Charlotte, NC. We are doing the Wreck and Rituals. We need to fill some post on the ritual team. If interested please attend the meeting or contact Don Carr, Ritual Chairman.

The Christmas party is on the 19th . Come join the fun to be had by all at the Post. With all things going on and holiday travels by all during this time, I am announcing that there will be NO PROMENADE for Dec.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday. Our next Promenade will be Jan. 26, 2010. This will be the start of a very busy year for all. A GOLDEN opportunity to get involved to help and support in preparing of Southland Dixie Promenade 2011.

Other events for December….
VA Hospital Visit—9th—come spread the Christmas to our Veterans who are hospitalized. We will depart from the Post around 6:15.
