Hello from the Chef de Gare,

Here it is 2011, as stated in the post newsletters, it going to be a busy year. Hope everyone is ready to get stated but mostly INVOLVED.

January gets started with a Gator Wreck meeting on the 9th at 1300 hours at the Post. Voyageur Booby Horn will be chairing this project. I know he will be calling on us for support. Even though the Gator Wreck is not until May, we will start with this meeting to get things going.

Also on 12 Jan., we will be making our monthly visit to the VA Hospital to visit our veterans. I encourage those who have not gone with us before, to come out for a heartwarming experience. I also invite anyone else from other organizations within the Legion family to join us. We depart the Post at 6:15PM and normally return around 9:00-930PM

Our BIG EVENT for January will be the Joint Carolinas Promenade 21st-23rd. Looking forward to a great time, Joint Carolina President Bill Small hopes to see each of you for this event. We will be setting up the ballroom at the Post on 20 Jan. after Steak Night.

As always our Promenade will be held on the 4th Tuesday of the month. The date is the 25th. It will be a GOLDEN time to get involved in our upcoming events. I will be discussing more upcoming events at the Promenade as getting the info in the newsletter.

Membership is an ongoing project. If you have not RENEWED, please do so. It would really be great for Voiture 1067 to be at 100%.

On 27 January we will be having a SOUTHLAND DIXIE meeting at 7PM at the Post. All Committee Chairpersons PLEASE make your calendar to attend this meeting at 7PM. SOUTHLAND'S DIXIE is 7th -10th April. It will be here before you know it. We still have a lot to do as far as fund raisers, getting ads and stuff for ditty bags. So please mark your calendar and be there .

For the good of the voiture
