Hello from the Chef de Gare,

Well here it is March and we are preparing for our 26th Annual GATOR WRECK (14-17th May). A lot has already been done but there is more planning to be done. We are already taking ads for the program book. If you know of anyone who would like to put an ad in, now is the time to sell. Cut off for the ads will be the 27th of April.

Thank you La Femmes for a wonderful Valentine dinner/dance. Those of us who attended really had a great time. Outstanding job.

Some of us are planning a road trip the 2nd of March to Voiture 1316 Waccamaw. They will be conducting a Formal Wreck to bring in 4 new Voyageurs Miltaire. If interested, please let me know. If we get enough of us together we can use the bus for the trip. We will plan on leaving for the Post around 3:00-3:30. Lets go and show our support.

March 27th is our Annual Male Beauty Contest. If interested in being in the contest please see our Chef de Train, Cheryl Christopher. This event is fun and helps raise money for Child Welfare and Youth Sports. Tickets are $5.00 per person and starts at 7:00 pm here at the Post. Come out and see the beautiful, lovely and talented LADIES.

Our next Promenade will be March 23, 2010. Come join us. Much to discuss on upcoming events. GOLDEN opportunity to help out with these events.

Membership is going good but could be better. I want to thank each of you who have already renewed your membership. We are getting close to that 100% mark. If you haven’t renewed your membership, please do so today, after all it’s your membership that keeps us strong and able to support the many programs that the Forty & Eight is known for.

Other events for March….

  • VA Hospital Visit—10th— Come join us in our monthly visit to our veterans who are in the hospital. We will de-part from the Post around 6:15.
  • Corn beef and Cabbage Night—Friday the12th

For the good of the Voiture
