Hello from the Chef de Gare,

It is with sincere sympathy that I report the passing of fellow Legionnaire and Voyageur Harold William Sedivy. Our hearts and prayers go to his beloved family.

Thanks to all who attended our annual Picnic out at the Naval Rec Area(short stay). A special thanks to Bear for providing great music all day and into the night. If you did not attend you really missed a good time. We have already booked the pavilion for our Friday night fun and the clubhouse for Saturday food and entertainment for next year. So mark your calendar for 2010,(Sept. 10-11).

Elvis and his Blue Suede Shoes have been spotted. Yes it is that time to get your tickets for the Elvis show 17th of October. Tickets are now available at the Post. Just ask our beautiful bartenders. Price is $15.00 per person. You can also get tickets from Jerry Anderson, Ralph Lange or me (Chef de Gare). Get them now so that you can get a good seat to a Great show.

On October 24th, we are having a membership appreciation for all 40/8 and La Femmes members. If you have not renewed your membership, this will be a great opportunity to do so and enjoy the fun to be had by all. It will be held outside at the Pavilion area of the Post from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm. So come and enjoy.

Don’t forget about Promenade 27th of October. The BLACK skies of HALLOWEEN are lurking near.
Please remember 2010 membership cards are ready. Renew now and avoid the rush.

• VA Hospital Visit—14th—come and help cheer up our Veterans who are hospitalized. We will depart from the Post around 6:15.
• 23rd---La Femmes Lasagna Dinner 6:00-8:00pm. Cost is $6.50.
