Who We Are
We are a Fraternal Organization composed of female members from the family of a Voyageur of La Societe des Quarante Hommes et Huit Chevaux. We hold our own independent Charter and Constitution. Therefore we are not considered an auxiliary of the 40/8. Membership is by invitation only. We do not have our own programs. We sponor and support the programs of the 40/8.
A message from La Presidente
As La Presidente of Cabane 1067, I would like the 40/8 and members of the American Legion and Auxiliary to support our fundraisers. We are sponsoring three dinners this year. A lasagna dinner in October, a frogmore stew dinner in January, and a corn beef and cabbage dinner in March. The funds raised from these dinners help us support the 40/8 programs. Every year we give a donation to Nurses Training. Last year we also gave a donation to Youth Sports. I hope our fundraisers will allow us to give a donation to the Child Welfare Fund. Our children are our future.
