Magnolia Cemetery has 2200 Confederate War Veterans buried there including unknowns.  There are also 84 that fell during the Battle of Gettysburg.  Crew members from the H.L. Hunley, the first submarine in history to sink an enemy ship, are also buried there.

Josiah Flagg a soldier in the American Revolution and sailor in the War of 1812 is the only famous Veteran buried there.

Saint Phillip's Church

There are several veterans buried at Saint Phillips including 1 who served in the French & Indian War and Revolutionary War.  There is also a signer of the US Constitution and a signer of the Declaration of Independence buried there.

Mepkin Abbey

Mepkin Abbey is a Trappist Monastery.  Visitors are welcome.  John Laurens, a Revolutionary War Veteran, and his father Henry are buried there.  Henry Laurens was not a War Veteran per se, but he was held as a Prisoner of War in the Tower of London for his staunch support of US Independence.
