Gator Wreck

PG Instructions

If your Voiture is bringing a PG to be Wrecked the following applies:

  • If the PG is bringing someone to attend the Banquet with them, then it is up to the guest, the PG’s Sponsor, or a Fellow Voyageur/Dame to get the guest registered.
  • The Banquet is for the purposes of honoring and presenting to the new PG Passé their Chapeau and Membership Card during the Ceremony by his Sponsor, Chef-De-Gare, or a Voiture representative.
  • All PG’s that are being Wrecked need to be checked in with the Wrecking Crew Captain (Todd Walker). We request that the PG Gator Wreck fee of $50.00 be paid at the time of Check-in. The $50.00 fee per PG covers his/her Banquet Registration ($35), Saturday morning breakfast ($5), and Wreck supplies ($10). Todd Walker will get the Registration badges taken care of and provided to the PG’s Sponsor. Todd will be very busy on Saturday with the PG’s so it is requested that all PG’s be checked in with him on Friday or Saturday morning prior to the beginning of the Active Wreck.
  • Friday clothing for PGs is something they don’t mind getting dirty but is washable. Saturday clothing for the Wreck should be something they never want to see again (including shoes). A change of clothes, a towel, soap, and shampoo, etc. should be kept by the sponsor and brought to the post for after the Wreck. Showers are available at the Post.

Choir Practice

We will be conducting PG Training and Choir Practice at American Legion Post 166, on April 25, 2010 at 1 o'clock. This training will allow the PG’s a chance to learn about the 40&8, what will be expected of them during the Wreck, some of what they can expect during the Wreck, and of course they will get some good lessons in singing too.

You and your Voiture members are invited to attend this training and bring any PG’s that you have going through the Gator Wreck May 14th and 15th. If you intend to bring a PG, please contact the Wreck Chairman and more instructions will be sent to you. Please include your mailing address and phone number in the email.

PG’s that attend the training should wear jeans and a T-shirt, or something that they would wear doing house or yard work.

All donations that a PG collects prior to Friday May 14th should be removed from their collection device and remain with your Voiture. It is requested that the amount of the funds be told to the Wreck Chairman, Brian Cecil, so that it can be incorporated into the donation report given during the Program on Saturday. All funds remaining in the collection device on Friday will become property of Voiture 1067 and will go towards the Voiture 1067 selected programs.

Please check back often. As things change, updates will be provided on this page. Formal invitations will be sent out to local Voitures as soon as all of the details are worked out. If you want to bring a PG to get Wrecked, or if you have any questions, you can ask it in the forum, or send an email to the Wreck Chairman. Join the Forum and you will be automatically included on the email list.

The official Choir Practice Letter will appear here as soon as we have all of the details worked out. Please check back.
