Patriot's Point Naval & Maritime Museum

Patriot's Point is located on Historic Charleston Harbor, there you can visit the World War II Aircraft Carrier USS Yorktown, CV-10.  While on board, you can see the Congressional Medal of Honor Memorial Museum.  Also at Patriot's Point you can visit the Cold War Submarine Memorial, and Vietnam Naval Support Base Camp Replica which includes Vietnam era aircraft and an original River Patrol boat.

The Hunley Museum

The CSS H.L. Hunley is the first submarine in world history to sink an enemy ship.  It was discovered in 30 feet of water off of the coast of Sullivan's Island, SC and was excavated in 2000, 136 years after its disappearance.

American Military Museum

The American Military Museum is located at 360 Concord Street in downtown Charleston near the South Carolina Aquarium and adjacent to the debarkation point for tours to Historic Fort Sumter. Artifacts from 14 American conflicts ranging from the Revolutionary War through the recent War in Iraq are on display there in over 70 display cases. Uniforms, flags, medals and hundreds of other Military Artifacts from the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard are on display. There is also a memorial chapel, 400 different pieces of military headgear, 600 military miniature and toy soldiers and more.

The Original Charleston Walks offers a variety of Walking Tours of Historic Charleston. Walks include Historic Homes, Civil War, Patriots of Charleston, Slavery & Freedom, Pirates & Buccaneers, and Ghost & Legends. Most walks take no more than 2 hours and cover less than a mile.
